Account deletion
Delete your PumpPilot account
You can request deletion of your PumpPilot account and associated account data. This page explains what to send, what may be deleted, and how Google Play subscriptions are handled separately.
How to request deletion
In the app, go to Account > Account data > Delete account, or Settings > Privacy & legal > Delete account. Those links open this page so you can start the request.
Email support@pumppilot.co.uk with the subject line Delete my PumpPilot account.
Please include:
- the email address used for your PumpPilot account
- if you signed in with Google, the Google email address used for PumpPilot
- any helpful context, such as whether you also have an active Google Play subscription
Do not send passwords, payment card details, identity documents or other sensitive documents by email. PumpPilot may need to verify account ownership before deletion.
What will be deleted
After account ownership is verified, deletion may include account data linked to your PumpPilot account, such as:
- account profile and sign-in association where possible
- saved places
- Garage/My car data
- fill-ups
- frequent routes, trip logs, service logs and expense logs
- alert rules and notification history
- notification preferences, push tokens and device registrations
- favourites and hidden station preferences
- auth identities, verification tokens and password reset tokens
- PumpPilot subscription entitlement records, where they are no longer needed for support, accounting, dispute or compliance reasons
- other user-specific app data linked to the account
Reviews and community content
Reviews, reports or moderation records may be removed, anonymised, retained or restricted where necessary for moderation, legal, security or abuse-prevention reasons.
Approved public reviews may be removed or anonymised on request where appropriate.
What may be retained
Some data may be retained where required or reasonably needed for legal, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, service integrity or compliance reasons.
Subscription entitlement and payment-related records may also be retained where required for compliance, accounting, support or dispute handling.
We may also keep a limited deletion audit record so we can show that the request was handled and protect the service from fraud or misuse.
Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your PumpPilot account, deleting app data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
To stop renewal, cancel through Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > PumpPilot.
If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately before or after account deletion if you do not want it to renew.
Timing
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete verified requests within 30 days. Some requests may take longer if we need to verify account ownership, handle an active dispute, keep legally required records, or wait for a provider process such as subscription cancellation or refund handling.
