Terms & Conditions
Rules for using PumpPilot UK.
These draft terms explain how PumpPilot UK can be used, what the service is designed to do, and the practical limits that apply to price guidance, alerts, route estimates, and account features.
1. About PumpPilot
PumpPilot UK is an informational fuel-price app for UK users. It helps compare prices, stations, alerts, vehicles, saved places, and route or savings estimates.
2. Fuel prices are guidance only
PumpPilot helps you compare fuel prices, but prices can change, be delayed, be inaccurate, or be temporarily unavailable.
You should always check the station price before buying fuel.
3. Driving safety
Do not use PumpPilot in a way that distracts you while driving. Always obey road laws and use the app only when it is safe to do so.
4. Accounts
Accounts may be used to keep saved places, vehicles, alerts, and notification preferences synced. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure.
5. User input and community data
If PumpPilot allows price submissions, corrections, or other user-generated content, anything you submit must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
PumpPilot may moderate, remove, or restrict suspicious, abusive, or unreliable submissions.
6. Alerts and notifications
Alerts and notifications are provided on a best-effort basis. PumpPilot does not guarantee delivery, timing, price availability, or that a notification will arrive before a price changes again.
Delivery can be affected by permissions, device settings, operating system rules, network conditions, and third-party push services.
7. Routes, savings and vehicle assumptions
Savings, detour, fill-size, route, and recommendation estimates depend on assumptions such as fuel type, consumption, tank size, route anchor, and detour preferences.
These estimates are guidance only and are not guaranteed.
9. Availability and beta features
PumpPilot may change over time and may contain features that are still being refined. Parts of the service may be unavailable, delayed, or changed without notice.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. This includes:
- abuse, fraud, or misleading submissions
- scraping or bulk extraction beyond permitted use
- attempts to disrupt, damage, or bypass security
- reverse engineering where not allowed by law
11. Liability
PumpPilot is provided with reasonable care, but to the extent allowed by law we do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, price inaccuracies, missed alerts, or reliance on estimates or delayed information.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow exclusion.
12. Termination
PumpPilot may suspend or restrict access where reasonably needed for abuse prevention, legal compliance, security, or service integrity.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as the service changes. When we do, we will update the last updated date shown on this page.
14. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by: [CONFIRM GOVERNING LAW]
If PumpPilot will use England and Wales, replace the placeholder with final wording before launch.
